Position Opening | Asst. Director of Recruitment  |  University of PRovidence

Position Summary
Working with the VP for Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Recruitment is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the recruitment/counseling team in support of the strategic recruitment and enrollment plans and goals. These activities include admissions events and prospective student visits, recruitment travel, search and outreach campaigns, communications and marketing. He or she is also responsible for directly engaging and recruiting prospective students and their families by phone, email, live chat or video conferencing as well as presentations to groups.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing training, supervision and leadership for the recruitment/counseling team, particularly weekly outreach activities aimed at moving prospective students through the enrollment funnel and achieving enrollment goals.
  • Develop weekly, seasonal and annual plans for recruitment travel and coordinate logistics with counselors.
  • Recruit, train and manage an effective student ambassador team.
  • Coordinate prospective student visits with support from the front desk team and counselors.
  • Assist in planning and lead coordination of admissions events and information sessions.
  • Effectively engage prospective students, families and support them in the admissions process. Communicate a compelling story of the University, its programs and learning environment.
  • Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team effectiveness and reflects the University and PSJH mission and philosophy.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

Desired Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in college admissions and recruitment.
  • Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs and communication methods is required; this includes Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with client information systems, calendaring, project management or CRM software preferred. (Ellucian Banner and Recruit are used at UP.)
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.

POSITION
Director of Financial Aid & Admissions

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director will be responsible for the administration and disbursement of student financial aid programs in compliance with all Federal regulations.  
The Director will also assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts and admissions processes, working closely with the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Marketing Coordinator, and the Enrollment Services Technician.  
The Director of Financial Aid and Admissions must be able to manage staff effectively and perform standard financial aid duties such as, Verification, Loan Processing, Packaging, Return to Title IV, and Satisfactory Academic Progress.  
The Director must also be able to gain knowledge of all academic programs offered through Miles Community College, including continuing education and workforce development initiatives, and be able to relay the information to potential students, parents, counselors, community agencies, and other interested parties.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required, related to student services, business or administration with a strong background in Financial Aid and/or higher education enrollment management processes.
Two to four years’ experience in higher education and enrollment or financial aid setting.
Knowledge of ederal Financial Aid Programs and regulations. Strong management skills that include communication, assertiveness, leadership, and decision-making.
Understanding of and commitment to the role of the community college.
Knowledge of organizational development and leadership roles within a teamwork setting.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, MCC staff, and the general public.
Strong organizational skills and math skills.
Ability to balance a variety of tasks and duties on a daily basis.
Work experience demonstrating computer skills. Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
