SUBMIT A NOMINATION

​Who Can Make A Nomination?
  • Any MPSEOC Member who is a professional staff member of the admissions, new student services, or enrollment management offices of the 26 Montana institutions may nominate candidates.  
  • MPSEOC Members may nominate themselves or other MPSEOC members. 

Who Can Be Nominated?
  • Any professional staff member of the admissions, new student services, or enrollment management offices of any Montana university, college, community college, college of technology, or tribal college may be nominated. 

Recommendations 
  • Nominees should have at least one year of Admissions experience preferred. 
  • Once nominated, then MPSEOC will contact each nominee in May to see if each candidate would like to officially apply for the Board of Directors.  
  • If one chooses to accept, he/she will have to complete an application and submit a letter of support from their institution's director.  
  • Application materials may be shared with each institution for voting purposes.

Why Be a Part of the MPSEOC Board of Directors?
|  Montana is truly unique in the breadth and depth of educational opportunities found in this great state.  With 26 accredited institutions across the state, students have access to every kind of higher education including four-year public and private colleges and universities, two-year college of technology opportunities, community colleges, and tribal colleges.  The MPSEOC Board is a perfect way to help connect Montana's education  more to help students together! 

| Since 1987, the Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council (MPSEOC) mission has been to help collaborate higher educational opportunities for Montana students.  As a Director on the MPSEOC Board, you will help continue and grow that mission as a Montana team.

Who Can Make Nominations?                                                                         

| Any MPSEOC Member who is a professional staff member of the admissions, new student services, or enrollment management offices of the 25 Montana institutions may nominate candidates.  MPSEOC Members may nominate themselves or other MPSEOC members.

Who Can Be Nominated?
|  Any professional staff member of the admissions, new student services, or enrollment management offices of any Montana university, college, community college, college of technology, or tribal college can be nominated.  

| One year of Admissions experience preferred. 
|  Once nominated, if one chooses to accept, he/she will have to complete the above application, submit a letter of support from your institution's director, and resume.  
| Your application materials will be shared with each institution for voting purposes.
 
What is the Main Goal of the Board of Directors?
|  The operation of the Council is entrusted to a volunteer Board of Directors (who are elected by the entire membership).  The Board of Directors provides overall vision and guidance for the Executive Director and the membership.

What is the Time Commitment?
|  The time commitment varies throughout the year.  However, the majority of the commitment is limited to the following:

      |  Attend Board Meetings that take place throughout the state (typically 4-6 per year) 
      |  Attend a Board Retreat - Typically in February / Early March - or sometime within the first few months of the new year.
      |  Help Facilitate the Annual Summer Conference & Any Committee/Task Force Teams
      |  Share feedback, help make decisions, and ask questions via email and phone with the Executive Director


Why is Your Involvement Important?
|  The more diverse representation the MPSEOC Board hosts, the more well-rounded of decisions can be made in trying to collaborate and represent the different institutions within the state of Montana.  By serving on this Board, you are helping keep our state institutions connected to better serve Montana students.

  • May 15, 2026  | Deadline for Nominations
  • May 2026 |  MPSEOC will contact nominees via email with an official congratulations notification and will answer questions.
  • June 12, 2026  |  Deadline for Nominations to accept & apply.
  • Open - July 6, 2026   |  Voting Open – 1 vote from each of the 26 MPSEOC Member Institutions.  
  • Annual MPSEOC Membership Meeting |    @ Summer Conference in July 2026​

ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS
We will be contacting all members who applied for the Board of Directors by phone after the elections with the results.  The newly elected Board of Directors will be publicly announced at the MPSEOC Summer Conference.
