The USC Bovard scholars program targets traditionally underrepresented, high achieving students for it's full-senior year program.  This begins with three weeks on campus at USC, followed by full support by a college admissions coach through the application season.  Each CAC has only ten students on their case-load, ensuring excellent personal service through the daunting application process.
 
The program is free to students, including air fare and even luggage fees to and from LA.  Here's a link to the program:  https://bovardscholars.usc.edu/

The application period for current HS Juniors is now open and closes on Friday, January 17th.

Is there any advice you would give to an admissions counselor on connecting with prospective students? (*This answer was written more than once)

• Specialized presentations - safety on campus, general scholarship application tips, writing a college essay
• Continued personal contact from college reps in their senior year
• Promotions of key programs* and tracks from programs to advanced degrees or career paths
• Get connected with "raise.me" scholarship tool
• Up to date and user friendly websites*
• Easier to navigate websites, especially for 2- year campuses whose websites direct to 4-year websites 
• Social media presence
• Visiting MT high schools
• Face to face visits*
• Free stuff!

• Keep counselors posted on changes in programs and facilities on campus
• Keep counselors posted on how students can be better prepared for college - what skills are they lacking?
• Reminders about financial aid, scholarship, and application deadlines*
• Better orientations for Native American students (like international student orientations) to help with retention
