Increased financial aid regulations are driving academic and student process requirement changes, which requires student services departments to collaborate. This is a joint 3-part webinar series to provide information and resources to college admission officers, with focus on the recent changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Part 1: Prepping for Prior-Prior Year: Key Questions for Admission Offices Developed to help identify opportunities, challenges, and factors to consider to assure a successful transition. (58 minutes in length) Part 2: Essential Information for "Road Warriors": Helping Admission Staff Talk with Students and Families about the 2017-2018 FAFSA (Registration required [free]) Admission recruiters are often the first point of contact with families regarding the financial aid process. The 2017 – 2018 FAFSA will be available in October 2016 and recent changes (Prior-Prior Year / Early FAFSA) have created questions and concerns. In order to effectively communicate these changes to this population, admission staff need to be adequately prepared before they hit the road. In this webinar, presenters will discuss best practices in preparing admission officers to speak about early FAFSA to students and families.
