Based in Helena, Reach Higher Montana is the public benefit partnership between Student Assistance Foundation (SAF) and the Montana Higher Education Student Assistance Corporation (MHESAC). The purpose of Reach Higher Montana is to guide, prepare and support Montana students in their efforts to reach their potential through higher education. Reach Higher Montana offers a range of programs that includes outreach and education finance planning. Reach Higher Montana's mission is to provide students and families with the knowledge and tools to pursue and fund their postsecondary education. RHM uses proceeds from its student loan servicing business to offer a range of programs that include grants, community outreach, counseling and training on education finance planning. We achieve this by providing Native students with scholarships and providing financial support for the nation's 34 accredited tribal colleges and universities, which incorporate American Indian culture and language into their curriculum to honor our students' heritage and Native identity. Established in 1989, the American Indian College Fund is the nation's largest and highest-rated American Indian scholarship organization.
